Our Team

A team that knows every horse.

At Victoria Park Racing, our facilities may provide the environment, but it is our people who make the difference. Our team shares a genuine respect for the horse and a commitment to doing things properly. Because operating on a boutique scale means being hands-on. It means knowing the horses in our care, understanding their individual personalities and taking pride in the progress made every day.

Meet the people behind Victoria Park Racing.

Reg Flannery

Owner & Founder

Victoria Park Racing is the realisation of a long-held dream for owner and racing enthusiast, Reg Flannery. Having owned and raced horses for many years, Reg has always had a genuine passion for the industry and a strong appreciation for the care, patience and commitment required to develop a good horse. In 2024, he purchased 200 acres at Nindooinbah, near Beaudesert, with a vision to create an exceptional training and spelling property.

What began as a blank canvas has since been transformed into Victoria Park Racing, a purpose-built facility designed to provide horses with the very best environment to train, recover and thrive. Reg's vision remains at the heart of Victoria Park: exceptional facilities, a commitment to quality and a genuinely personal approach to every horse and owner.

Jay Bellamy

Head Trainer

Jay Bellamy believes every horse deserves the opportunity to become the best version of itself. His approach is built on patience, persistence and understanding the individual horse. Some show their ability early, while others take time. For Jay, good training is about recognising what each horse needs and giving it the opportunity to develop. Success is about more than race day.

It is seeing a horse grow in confidence, improve in its work and fulfil its potential. And when the winner does come along, it makes every early morning worthwhile. At Victoria Park Racing, Jay combines this hands-on approach with a purpose-built facility designed to support every stage of preparation.
